Betta Asphalt Crack Filler

Asphalt Crack Filler is a solvent free crack sealer designed to protect cracks and joints in asphalt pavements against water ingress and prevent unravelling of the pavement. Asphalt Crack Filler, is a waterproof sealer that penetrates into the depth of the crack, replacing the lost bitumen and stone in asphalt cracks, forming a tough flexible sealant that withstands ponding water and vehicle traffic.

APPLICATION METHOD
Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, sound & stable. Free of moss, grime, oils, animal fats or grease. Remove dust and loose matter in cracks and joints by blower or vacuum. If asphalt is unstable, repairs should be made before crack sealing commences

Application

Shake well before use, then cut tip off of the nozzle and lightly squeeze product into crack. Allow product to settle or smooth product out with spatula

As a guide, 1litre of Asphalt Crack Filler will seal cracks 4mm wide and 5mm depth by 40 metre length.

It is not recommended to fill cracks that are wider than 20mm

Drying

In normal ambient conditions of 20C, ready for vehicle traffic within 15 minutes after applying   In cooler conditions, drying may be prolonged.

 Clean up in water while wet. Once dried product needs to be removed mechanically

TIPS & FAQ’s

  • It is recommended to check the surface condition of the seal after 24 hours. If any signs of shrinkage or sinking are evident, re-apply Asphalt Crack Filler to the surface until the joint is filled and all shrinkage areas are covered

  • Not to be used as a sealant over expansion on movement joints

  •  Do not apply when surface temperature is below 5°C or above 40°

  • Not to be used in areas subject to negative hydrostatic pressure
  • Do not mix this product with solvents and do not dilute with water
